Whitstable Colour

Over the Easter weekend shops, cafes and restaurants were doing a roaring trade. Whitstable Boat Trips were busy and the Wyre Sands dredger was clearing bucket loads of silt from the Harbour. People were sitting around relaxing and the stage was adorned with a Ukrainian flag and knitted yellow flowers. Outdoor restaurant tables were in demand and market traders opened their huts and put the bunting out. Whitstable Castle Tea hut was open and the Waterfront pub had a full balcony.

Tankerton beach was calm and the Lickett and Smile ice cream vendor was making the most of his first outing of the season. Crossing over the railway bridge has views of the golf course, beach huts and yachts in the distance. Walking towards Seasalter is less crowded and an easy place to paddle in sea canoes.
