Whitstable Christmas Lights 2025

Whitstable High Street and surrounding roads were closed yesterday from 4pm to 6pm so that people carrying lanterns and lights could walk along the main road through town. Carol singers were performing at the harbour stage by the market. Shops and businesses turned their lights on. It was a lovely community event with people of all ages strolling about in a happy celebratory mood.

Crowds were walking along the High Street as the sun was setting and community groups joined in with their lantern creations and sparkly costumes. Everyone seemed to be in a happy celebratory mood, which was lovely to witness and is a tribute to all the community minded people in Whitstable who organised the event and took part on the day.
