Trip to Scotland

Pinewood House was a great space for 10 of us celebrating a friend’s 60th Birthday. Nearby Kelso has a variety of shops, cafes and a winding path along the River Tweed. A colourful rainbow lit up the sky on a walk to view the statue of Sir William Wallace- Governor of Scotland. Cove Harbour, now mainly used as a ‘location’ by film crews, was worth the long trek.

Our early evening trip to Lindisfarne Nature Reserve was perfectly timed, just as dusk was falling. Heavy rain was not great for a day out in Edinburgh, but ideal for visiting the National Portrait Gallery. The sun shone again on our last day at Floors Castle Gardens. Scotland was a welcome break -and worth the long journey to get there.
