London Visit

I always enjoy spending time in London with friends. From Pimlico we walked along the River Thames and across to Battersea Park. A day of sunshine and showers meant a lot of taking shelter to escape the rain. People were wandering around the Park admiring the trees in blossom, the London Peace Pagoda or sitting by the café at the lake. Battersea power station has been renovated inside with a variety of shops and cinemas over several floors.

The next day we took a bus to Hyde Park Corner and walked along Oxford Street. Gift shops were open and Selfridges was worth a visit to see all the cosmetics, handbags, clothes and tempting luxury cakes on offer. John Lewis was busy and the roof garden pods were all reserved for lunchtime guests. A diversion to a Greek cafe in Soho for lunch was a good move.
