Kent Days Out

A train ride to Margate to see Barbarita Marks exhibition ‘Somebody and the Way of Heaven’ at the Pie Factory Gallery was worth the visit. She is a descendant of Second World War survivors and explores transgenerational trauma in her work. We walked around the old town and on to Turner Contemporary to see ‘Beyond Form: Lines of Abstraction’. Lynda Benglis has her 1960’s Bronze sculptures on display with views of Margate seaside in the background.
On Fridays, with a group of  friends we often go out on different walks around Kent. On recent visits to Oare and Dargate, signs of spring were evident with calves resting in the cow sheds and new-born lambs running about in the fields.
