Country Walks

To celebrate a friend’s birthday a few weeks ago we went on a circular walk from the White Lion in Selling and then on to the pub for lunch afterwards. As it was a weekday, we had the countryside to ourselves and only came across a few workers out in the fields.

On Good Friday we went to Oare Gunpowder Works and country park. The bluebells were just starting to appear and Luddenham church lit up in the spring sunshine.  The Lower Millpond supports a wide range of plants, animals and insects. It was an ideal day for walking and then we went on to have a picnic lunch in our friend’s garden in Oare.
