Flying Kites for Palestine

On Sunday 15th June people in cities around the world were invited to fly kites in solidarity with Gaza, in order to raise voices, make noise, and stand up for Palestinian rights.📍Whitstable @kitesinsolidaritywhitstable invited people to come along to an   event from 11am until 2pm at the Peace Bench at Keam’s Yard.

Food was shared amongst the group as families and individuals made and decorated their kites. The weather was bright and sunny with enough wind for the kites to fly up high in the sky. It was a powerful and novel way of showing support for people in Palestine.
