Hop Festival, Beach Party and Boots on Holiday

September was a good month for outings with friends. We went to Faversham Hop Festival, a Birthday Beach Party in Whitstable and then had a few days away in the Sussex countryside. We stayed in Vineyard House next to Oxney Organic Estate. There are lovely walks in nearby FlatRopers Wood and we explored different paths over a few days. A highlight of our break was to drive out to Dungeness and walk along the coast and visit Derek Jarman’s former home, Prospect Cottage. It’s a striking yellow and black painted fisherman’s hut on the shingle beach at Dungeness.
